This is yet another case of court ordered visitation that gave an incestuous father, Victor Perez, the opportunity to repeatedly rape his young daughter. The sexual assaults occurred over several years when the girl was 9 & 10 years old. Thankfully, there is actually a conviction in this case. Hopefully the child will NOT be ordered to visit her abuser anymore. It is unknown from this news article how exactly the assaults were finally stopped.
The fact that these assaults went on for several years brings up many questions:
Was the child too afraid to tell?
Was the child complaining about the visits, but forced to go anyway due to court orders?
Was the abuser denying any wrongdoing for years, or was the child being threatened with harm if she told?
Who finally saved this child from this ordeal?
If it weren’t for the the video tapes, how long would have this continued?
If it weren’t for video tapes, would the usual false allegations of parental alienation or brainwashing, and claims of being wrongfully accused by a lying child be used to re-victimize the victim?
Victims of abuse generally don’t want to see their abusers again!!! Remember this whenever someone accused of child abuse claims to be a victim of the fictitious Parental Alienation Syndrome. Most children don’t have video tapes for evidence, they only have their memories of the terrible events. Children and their protective parents must be listened to. No child should ever have to endure years of court ordered visitation, or should it be called court ordered child abuse.

A 12-year-old girl propped her stuffed bunny on a lectern Monday and told a judge she never wants to see her father again.
It was the final phase of a sickening incest case that a Bronx prosecutor called one of the worst she had ever seen.
“I want to ask you to send my father far away and never let him out,” said the brave little girl, wearing pigtails and braces, at yesterday’s sentencing in Bronx Supreme Court. “I wish in my heart that he was not my father.”
Judge James Kindler heard her plea.
He sentenced Victor Perez to 95 years to life in prison for 26 counts of abuse, including multiple counts of rape and incest, when his daughter was 9 and 10 years old. Perez did not look at his daughter while in the courtroom Monday, but shook his head when she said she never wants to see him again. The girl’s family walked out of the courtroom in tears after the sentence was announced.
Assistant District Attorney Danielle Pascale hugged the family, as did Detective Freddy Perez of the Bronx special victims unit, who followed the case from the beginning.
“She’s a brave little girl,” he said. “This is the beginning of a new life for her.”
